It all started when…

We noticed picky eating habits with our students. Eating the same three “beige” foods everyday, that lacked the nutrition needed to fuel themselves for their busy days in the classroom. Children in our elementary class also became aware of the differences between their friend’s lunch and their own.

Our aim with providing a school lunch program is to ensure children

• have a well-balanced, nutritious lunch, everyday

• try different flavours that they may not necessarily get at home

After testing numerous lunch providers, we found Elemeno, the only plant-based school lunch provider focused on nutritious food - after all, we are feeding children.

Food is an emotive topic. Some families prefer to provide their children with homemade lunches. Others prefer the variety and convenience of a school lunch. Families are able to opt-in to the program for an additional fee.
